A tribute to Brassaï’s oeuvre, the exhibition, hosted by Paris City Hall, explores Paris through the eyes of the great photographer, whose works, pulsating with life, are also remarkable for their luminosity.
It relates the amazing story of Brassaï’s fifty-year passion for the French capital, with its nooks and crannies, its intellectuals, artists, big families, prostitutes and lowlifes – all those who have made Paris an iconic place it is. Throughout his life, Brassaï, as a writer, photographer and filmmaker, was inspired by Paris.
Until 08 March 2014, 11:00 to 18:00. Free entry. Paris City Hall – 5 rue Lobau – 75004 Paris
